Center of European Information
The main task of the Center of European informationis extension of access of inhabitants of Khmelnitskiy and Khmelnitskiy region to the information about different spheres of life in EU and process of European integration of Ukraine. Purpose group – wide sections of the population, at first – youth.

Pupils of Khmelnytskyi learnt more about the European Union |

 On the occasion of the day of Europe staff members of educational establishments and libraries arranged several activities for youth that were aimed at broadening their awareness about the European Union.
The meetings took place at the Khmelnytskyi Central Municipal Library and Teaching and Educational Complex #2. Pupils learnt something about the European Union history, its members and its main institutions functioning.
European Information Consultation Centre attached to the Regional Ostrovskyi Library employee Tetyana Bezvyshko informed, 'All world celebrates the day of Europe on May, 9. As in our country this holiday coincides with the Victory Day, according to the President's decree this day is celebrated on the third Saturday of May.
During the meetings staff members of educational institutions and libraries told about chances for our country to enter the EU and about tasks Ukrainians need to fulfill in order to integrate into Europe. Tetyana Bezvyshko assumed, 'First of all we need to learn to appreciate all-European values and realize problems Ukraine will face on this way to the European Union.'

 Worldwide Day of the European continent is celebrated on May 9. As on this day Ukraine celebrated Victory Day, all solemnities in Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi were postponed for almost 2 weeks.
Most vividly the day of Europe was celebrated in school #2 by giving lectures on Euro integration, arranging pictures context, different concerts etc. (19 solemn activities totally). Everything that makes Khmelnytskyi citizens closer to the European course was emphasized and marked during the ‘European realization of Ukraine’ meetings that took place at the Ostrovskyi Library on the basis of the European information center that operates as a part of ‘European program’ of International fund ‘Vidrodjennia’.

| To fulfill the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from December, the 14th, 2006 ¹ 42449/321/1-06 concerning elaborating a new state program (the term of implementing the Government program on the public informing about the European integration for 2004-2007 is finishing) Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration is conducting the public discussion of the conception project of the indicated program, which can be found on the site of the Regional State Administration (www.adm.km.ua). The public discussion of the project will take place on March the 5th, 2007 at 14.00 in the conference-hall (Room 907) “Eneida” Hotel (8, Teatralna Street). |

Given project is the continuation of common activity of Association "Podilya Pershuy" and Khmelnitskiy Ostrovskiy RUSL with heightend level of information and experience of the public from the question of European integration of Ukraine. |

| The director of the project “European choice of Ukraine: information for everyone” Tretyak V.A. took part in educational courses «European Union and European Economic Zone», seminar 1 (September, 25-29, 2006 Kyiv) and seminar 2 (October,30-November 3, 2006 Brussels) within the framework of the program: «Alteration of democracy and possibilities of government service in Ukraine» for purpose of qualification, and promoting, within the European Union and European economic zones, and also policy and programs for the neighborhood of The European Union. |

Educational visit in Poland |

 Author: Bezvushko Tetyana Grugorivna, consultant of the Centre of European information the chief of the project V. Tretyak and the consultant of informational centre T. Bezvushko took place in the studio-educational programs of the Fundation of Stephan Batoriys in republic Poland from 17 to 24 of September. The syllabus of the studies was very satiate. Lectures were given by employees of the Department of analysis and strategy of Board of Committee European integration under the Poland government and collaborations of the Fundation. |

Creation on the base of the RUNL information center from the question of eurointegration is essentional aspect of intensifying it's role and significance in the light of modern politics-social transformation. |

| Nowadays the Ostrovskiy RUNL is essentional and, functional part of existing stable information – educational system and examine like traditional, complex and trustful source of information. Library executes not only it's direct functions, but intensify societies dialogue from many questions. |

The problems of organization of informational – en – lightenal activity by propaganda of eurointegration process, the role of libraries as a source of information and informational center from the question of eurointegration – as a coordinator of the meeting. |
