The activity of PPA in 2004-2005

The PPA has been paying attention to ways of introducing new methods of collaboration between the public business and government authorities. The PPA also has been implementing projects, which have become practical examples of the effective inter-sector partnership.

In 2005 attached to Khmelnytskyi Regional Universal Library named after Ostrovskyi. The PPA founded the center of “Euro Integration”, which will extend access to the given thematic sphere, and increase the quality of information about European integration, not only to the 32,000 readers of the library, but also all the population of the Khmelnytskyi and the region. The center will be the main source of information about “Euro Integration” of Ukraine.

Since 2005 The PPA and the Center of Strategic Initiatives (CSI) have joined their efforts in order to provide an Informational-Training Center for NGOs in the Khmelnytskyi region. At present we are providing information about, NGOs activities in Khmelnytskyi region, to the students of higher educational establishments. We regularly show that the experience and potential of The PPA and CSI have been recognized in taking part in and continuing elaboration of programs for strategic development in the Khmelnytskyi region from 2005. The PPA was the only non-government organization, which was enlisted as an expert in the collaboration with the Regional State Administration in elaborating the program.

In 2005, in the Khmelnytskyi region PPA implemented the project “Analysis of the Krasyliv District: Khmelnytskyi Region Population Needs in Social Services.” This project resulted in the drawing up of suggestions about the priorities of development, relevant to providing social services for groups earmarked for special purposes, and the public as a whole in the territorial community of the Krasyliv district in the Khmelnytskyi region.

In 2004 The PPA implemented the project “Introducing Polish Innovations at the Construction Clusters Enterprises,” within the limits of which, The PPA in collaboration with, “Gorizont Association” (Zhevush, Poland) established technological transfers and supported introducing some new technological and administration decisions to Khmelnytskyi companies and partners.

The significant organizational potential of The PPA was recognized by the Education Development Contribution Academy (USA), that has determined The PPA as a winner in tender for organizing and conducting the seminar: “The Leading Experience in Conducting Municipal Economy” for 25 mayors of Western Ukrainian towns.

Another direction of The PPA work is implementing educational projects for youth. One of the first projects supported was (and for the last 3 years) to hold the regional tours of The All-Ukrainian Scientific Works Competition for Pupils, Students and Young Scientists or “The Young Economy” (jointly with the Institutes of the Reform, Kiev). In 2003 The PPA took part in creating a Students’ Career Center in the Khmelnytskyi National University. The PPA is a co-organizer of the student’s Vacancies Fairs (Job fair), which are held twice a year in Khmelnytskyi. To systematize its further activity, The PPA issued in 2004 the booklet “The Youth Movement in The Khmelnytskyi Region,” which contains a description of all, actively used, youth public organizations in the region. Every year about 10-20 students of the local higher educational establishments work on voluntary basis in the association.
